Then we wash or dampen your hair, comb it into its natural direction, and go to work with sharp shears and a clean set of clipper guards. We build the shape from the neckline up, checking the balance from every angle. A hot towel softens the finish, and we style it with product so you see exactly how it will behave when you walk out the door.

Every head is different. Thick hair takes longer to blend, fine hair needs a lighter touch, and a strong cowlick can change how a part sits. The style itself matters: a skin fade takes more passes than a simple taper, and a detailed design or freehand line adds time. Hair that has been grown out for months needs more taken off, while a trim is quicker. All of those factors move the time and the cost of the cut.

On the day, we show up with our own clippers, shears, combs, and a cape, and we lay down a clean towel or sheet where we work. We ask you to point out the bathroom or a mirror with good light, and we take care not to leave hair anywhere it should not be. After the cut, we sweep up, wipe down the sink, and pack out. Before we arrive, just have your hair clean and dry, and tell us if you want a specific guard number or length.

A good cut grows out well, which means you are not back in the chair every two weeks. We check the blend from the sides, the back, and the top, and we make sure the neckline is clean without being too high.
